The Only Fashion Princess :: Rachella

The Only Fashion Princess is one of our trendsetters! Let’s learn more about her.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm Rachella, an eightteen year old fashion blogger from http://theonlyfashionprincess.blogspot.com. I'm a student at university in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

How did you become interested in fashion?
My interest in fashion grew through time, and so did my personal style. I can't name a brief answer to this question, because I really don't know. I always loved clothing and shoes, but I think I've seen fashion as 'serious business' and huuuuge part of my life since two years now.

photo

What inspired you to start your own blog?
I read an article about fashion blogs and I decided to visit them. I really liked what I saw and I thought it would be great to share my experiences with fashion, to expose my creativity and to show my outfits on a personal fashion blog too.

photo

What are your dreams and aspirations?
Girls can have big dreams, right? I want to finish (different) studies at university - study at least one semester at a university like Harvard or Cambridge, move to another country and I would love to expand my blog a lot. In my biggest dreams I want to make my job blogging. That would be so cool!

photo

How would you describe your style? What’s your favorite look at this moment?
I try to mix different styles to create a new 'unnamed' style. I often experiment with cute dresses in combination with tough items like a leather jacket and gothic jewelry or something like that. I think my style is especially feminine. Also I love to create chic looks. But like I said, I try not to attach to one style, but try a lot varied styles.

My favorite look at the moment? Hmmmm that's a hard one. I don't have a picture of my true favorite at the moment yet (it's something with a sheer maxi skirt, so beautiful), and my taste of great outfits changes by the day. My yesterday's outfit was this one, with the shorts and the lace top. That was my favorite yesterday. :)

Where do you get your fashion inspirations?
Everywhere. I get my fashion inspirations from magazines, internet, television, fashionblogs, fashioncommunities and people on the streets. But also from books and movies that are unrelated to fashion. I think getting my inspirations from unrelated books and movies happened a lot in the last months.

photo

Where do you shop? What are your favorite brands?
I'm always looking for new shops. I really like high-street stores like H&M, Monki, River Island, Urban Outfitters and Zara, but I also love to find new stores to shop. Moreover, stores with a chic and abstract interior always attract me. I really like high-quality items. Especially when they are shoes or bags. My favorite brands are - among A LOT others - the high-street brands I named before, Acne, Jeffrey Campbell, Burberry Prorsum, Louboutin and Balenciaga.

The Style Sandwich :: Marloes from the Netherlands

The Style Sandwich is one of our trendsetters! Let’s learn more about her.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hi! I’m Marloes, a seventeen-year-old from The Netherlands. I’m still in high school, but when I’m graduated, I would like to study journalism or communication. I’m blogging on thestylesandwich.blogspot.com

photo

How did you become interested in fashion?
I became interested in fashion the moment I discovered the huge blogs like Style Scrapbook and The Blonde Salad. Fashion magazines are really inspiring to me as well.

photo

What inspired you to start your own blog?
A Dutch magazine featured some blogs on their website. It looked really cool and it inspired me to start my own blog. At first, I just posted photos of other websites. After six months, I discovered fashion blogs and I changed my entire blog.

photo

What are your dreams and aspirations?
I’m a really ambitious girl. I would love to work for a big fashion magazine or a pr agency, I won’t stop blogging and I want to travel as much as I can.

photo

How would you describe your style? What’s your favorite look at this moment?
I find my style difficult to label, but I mostly wear girly clothes with a lot of color and high heels.

photo

Where do you get your fashion inspirations?
Fellow bloggers, streetstyle, fashion magazines and celebrities inspire me a lot. I also get inspired by little things like a flower or a random color combination.

photo

Where do you shop? What are your favorite brands?
Lately, I’ve become addicted to online shopping. Asos.com is amazing and I love shops like zara and monki. Vintage clothes are awesome as well. I love the fact that the pieces have a history and that the clothes aren’t brand new. I’m still looking for some hidden vintage shops in the neighbourhood.

Marriage of Vintage and Today :: Vintage 2 Vogue

Vintage 2 Vogue is one of our trendsetters! Let’s learn more about her.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, born and raised. Currently living in Iowa for my husband's job. I didn't go to college. Straight out of high school I got three modeling contracts. My last being with Ford Models Inc. I also am a singer/songwriter (www.myspace.com/lydiagray) and my music is for sale on Itunes under my maiden name (Lydia Gray).

photo

How did you become interested in fashion?
I naturally was always into playing dress up and being girly. I believe my passion for fashion grew over the years organically but of course being in involved in the modeling/music industry, I was around it much more and begin to find my own personal style.

photo

What inspired you to start your own blog?
To have my own voice and express myself creatively, while doing something I love and am passionate about.

photo

What are your dreams and aspirations?
That I can inspire other women that taking care of your outside is as important as taking care of your inside. If you respect and take care of yourself, than others will respect you too. I believe it is important to be your own person and style can really help you stand out as an individual. I really desire for my blog to get out there. I of course would love to be a stylist!

photo

How would you describe your style? What’s your favorite look at this moment?
The name of my blog Vintage2Vogue was inspired by how I usually enter into each of my outfits daily. I usually have at least one vintage piece in my look for the day. I believe in the marriage of vintage to the in "vogue" looks of today. I love vintage but believe you have to pair it with very modern elements to create the perfect and balanced look. I love a skinny black jean, a fresh and airy blouse and a chunky espadrille for a nice transition into Spring.

photo

Where do you get your fashion inspirations?
Street style, runway, T.J.Maxx, magazines, nature, music, movies and my moods.

photo

Where do you shop?
Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Bluefly.com, H&M, Forever21, T.J.Maxx, J.Crew, Marshalls, Von Maur, Nordstrom and vintage stores.

photo

What are your favorite brands?
Bensoni, Marc Jacobs, Rachel Roy New York
